Windows. If you can't translate it to what the users know, then the buy in will be a hard road no matter how good the product is. Accounting may think your talking about Raimondo Pettit Group, while a Forestry Group may think you mean Resource Policy Group, etc. RPG means something different to people and that's what you'll fight when you talk to others. I think 5 is probably the key since each persons understands differently and knowing how to translate to their language helps. Learn the software so when someone asks how or what, you can give them more than just a video that may have techy terms If not ask others that currently use one what they found to be the Good, the Bad, the Ugly for the softwareĥ. Check the main companies that can provide what you're looking forĤ. Determine what the need is and get them onboardģ. Figure out what and who you want to use this in your organizationĢ. The ease of use and the ability for our users to share what is needed and change to better passwords has helped so much that I feel it's paid for its self already, but I guess time will tell. Where I'm at now, We techs sat in on the trainings for our Password Manager and got what we needed as well as worked with the software to understand the kinks and possible issues, then we rerolled out the training as a 2/3 on user training and slowed it down to be more interactive and the buy in has jumped tremendously. Most of the ones listed as selections have done this and I'm not happy with any of them, but I also get there is a lot of information to transfer and most don't have the resources to have someone keep coming back to get to the next part. I've had several where that I've sat in and listened to the training and they all feel like they blow through the points to meet or beat the click and that's left a bad taste in several coworkers for any type of Manager. I think the real question comes down differently when it comes to an organization/large group that you will need to train how to use. If it's just personal or for a very small team, it can be quite easy to into any of the ones listed and some others that people have posted. To answer the question, I think the right answer is what feels best for the need at hand. I know I'm being a bit paranoid about it, but I still get these nagging feelings. I'm always cautious about questions like these because it almost feels like someone is saying, Hey Post what is used most so others can try and Spear Phish.
